Mechanical and engineering business PJL Group have plugged a gap in the mineral resources sector with their newly launched FLEETMINE and WEARWOLF
lines; two new offerings expertly designed to save operators from lapses in productivity. Launched just last year, FLEETMINE is a mobile equipment hire provider servicing the underground hard rock mining industry with a range of machinery, including Underground Loaders, Trucks, Development Drills, IT’s and ancillary equipment.
FLEETMINE has been well received by the Australian mining industry and is largely renowned for addressing shortfalls in new equipment supply and covering for major breakdowns.

According to PJL Group East Coast General Manager Chris Plummer, the line is also considered the service of choice for projects driven by base metal prices and is a solid alternative for new contractors to owning their own equipment.
He said it was in great synergy with the launch of WEARWOLF in 2020 – an alternative solution to OEM G.E.T. systems providing reduced costs without the need to change lip plates or cast corners. “The transition to the WEARWOLF product is seamless,” Mr Plummer said.
“It’s a new product on the market providing long term sustainable cost savings and supply chain solutions addressing current market conditions around parts shortfalls. “No modification is required to the machine to use the WEARWOLF product; all you need to do is fit to the bucket and start saving dollars.’
“Current customers are enjoying up to a 55% reduction in cost per hour operation, enabled by superior wear material and a competitive price with local onsite support available across Australia and stock held on both the east and west coasts.”
Mr Plummer said both FLEETMINE and WEARWOLF were launched to accommodate major shortages in the mining market for underground hire equipment and
underground mobile equipment wear products. He said with more than a century of combined industry experience within the management team, PJL Group are well placed to launch specialised services and offer clients flexible solutions for their equipment and material requirements.
Founded in the New South Wales mining town of Orange in 2006, the company is Australian owned and operated, with a range of permanent sites across the country. Thriving from humble beginnings to a workforce of more than 200 personnel, the business is renowned for ‘keeping equipment on the job’ and providing crucial services to the mining, earth moving, drilling and construction industries.
According to Mr Plummer, PJL Group has a commitment to innovation and a passion for improving processes and solutions for clients. He said this focus had seen them become a highly respected partner in industries where flexibility, quick decision-making and fast turnaround times were essential.
“Our guiding principle is engineering opportunities into solutions,” Mr Plummer said. “We do this by being the best in the world at providing quality customised services and solutions driven by creating value for our customers “We are deeply passionate about developing the strengths and skills of our people and have an excellent team on board to assist our customers in achieving their production targets.”
